I’m not sure I’d quite agree with the claim on the XX Factor blog that “If there was ever an equal opportunity attack forum, the Internet is it”. This was written in response to the South by Southwest (SXSW) panel Why Is Professional Blogging Bloodsport for Women?. Hmmm, have we forgotten Kathy Sierra already? I admit, I was a bit baffled by the SXSW panel description; “For professional female bloggers, writing online often gets painfully personal”. Maybe they meant to replace the word ‘online’ with perzines. Or emo songs.
